NOTHING HIDDEN

Heb 4:13  And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. 

My Child,

The world defines character as that which you do when no one is looking. The thought being that what you do when no one is looking reveals who you really are and what you really will do. Why? Because anyone can put on a good front while people are watching. However, true character, Godly character, is defined by what you do because someone is always looking -- ME! In other words, you should live your life with the constant reminder that I see all and hear all. Have you ever caught yourself saying something not so becoming because you thought no one was around to hear it, but there was someone? Maybe you thought you hung up your phone, but somehow the call had not ended, and what you were overheard saying you wouldn't have said if you knew the call was still live. If you live your life with the thought that I am always looking and listening, you will never have another embarrassing moment. It's the only way to live; the only way to have true character!

THE PRAYER: Father, I realize the world has its standard for character, but your standard is higher. I pray that You would grace me to be ever mindful that You are ever-present and that nothing I say or do is hidden from You. Therefore, may I always honor You with my words and acts just as if You were standing right next to me physically, in Jesus' name I pray! Amen.
